CLOSED | Call for Entry: Analog Forever Magazine - Edition 9, Winter 2023

Analog Forever Magazine was founded in 2018 on the belief that photographs, especially yours, should be seen in print as well as on-screen. After seven editions, we are excited to announce that our call for entries for Edition 9 - Winter 2023 is now open!

Open internationally to both amateurs and professionals, this free call for entries is Analog Forever Magazine’s attempt to find, feature, and interview the best talent in the analog photography world for our ninth print publication, due out Winter 2023!

This edition will display 10 artists across 150+ 8x10” pages with four interviews and six features. Printed by Edition One Books in Richmond, California, this limited edition publication will be printed on 176gsm paper, which will be perfect bound with a soft-touch matte laminate cover to protect its beautiful pages. The final product will be a hybrid mix of a journal, magazine, and coffee-table book that will serve as inspiration each time you open its cover.

This is your chance to join the ranks of photographic legends, rising stars, and hobbyists that have had their photographic work featured or interviewed within our pages including Michael Kenna, Fred Lyon, Judy Dater, and Estevan Oriol, to name just a few.

Regardless of your format of choice, how expensive your lens set is, or the subject matter you shoot, we want to see your work submitted! There is no entry fee, so there is no reason why you shouldn’t submit! The only thing we ask is that you please follow the directions below.

Deadline for Submissions is August 31st, 2023

Michael Behlen
Michael Behlen is a photography enthusiast from Fresno, CA. He works in finance and spends his free time shooting instant film and seeing live music, usually a combination of the two. He has self- published two Polaroid photobooks--“Searching for Stillness, Vol. 1” and “I Was a Pioneer,” literally a boxed set of his instant film work. He exhibited a variety of his photos at Raizana Teas, a Fresno tea room and health food store; his work there, “Polaroid Prints of Landscapes and Strangers,” was up for viewing during the months of June and July, 2014. He has been published, been interviewed, and been reviewed in a quantity of magazines, from” F-Stop” and “ToneLit” to “The Film Shooter’s Collective.” He loves the magic sensuality of instant film: its saturated, surreal colors; the unpredictability of the medium; it’s addictive qualities as you watch it develop. Behlen is the founder and Publisher of “Pryme Magazine.” You can see his work here: www.dontshakeitlikeapolaroid.com
