CLOSED | Call for Entry: Analog Forever Magazine - Edition 10, Summer 2024

In the heart of the photographic community, there lies a unique opportunity that beckons to every shutterbug out there – from the passionate amateurs who cherish the click of the shutter to the seasoned professionals whose visions are captured in every frame. Analog Forever Magazine, since its inception in 2018, has championed the timeless allure of analog photography, believing in the power of print to immortalize images in a way that digital screens cannot.

As we continue to celebrate the art of film photography, we are thrilled to unfold the opportunity for you to be a part of our landmark 10th Edition - Summer 2024. This is not just another call for entries; it's an international invitation to leave your mark in the world of analog photography.

Edition 10 promises to be a remarkable showcase of talent, featuring 10 distinguished artists across more than 150 pages of 8x10” glory. Printed by Edition One Books in Richmond, California, each page will be adorned with captivating images printed on premium 176gsm paper, bound together in a perfect soft-touch matte laminate cover – creating not just a magazine, but a piece of art that bridges the gap between a journal, magazine, and a coveted coffee-table book. With four in-depth interviews and six compelling features, this edition is designed to be a source of inspiration that you will return to time and again. Once again, we are partnering with our printer by Edition One Books in Richmond, California

This is your golden ticket to stand alongside the giants of the analog photography realm – a chance to have your work featured in the same breath as legends like Michael Kenna, Fred Lyon, Judy Dater, and Estevan Oriol. But it’s not just about the names; it’s about showcasing the diversity and depth of analog photography, regardless of the gear you use or the subjects you capture. We are looking for the essence of your perspective, the story behind your lens.

Whether you are taking your first steps into the world of film photography or have years of experience behind you, your submission is eagerly awaited. With no entry fee to hold you back, there’s truly no reason not to participate. Dive into your archives, develop your recent rolls, and select those shots that you feel deserve a spot in our upcoming edition.

Embrace this chance to immortalize your work in print. Follow the submission guidelines carefully and mark your calendars - the deadline for submissions is March 3rd, 2024. Let this be the year your photography finds a new home among the pages of Analog Forever Magazine.

Seize the opportunity to etch your name in the annals of analog photography history. Submit to Analog Forever Magazine Edition 10, and let’s make this summer one for the books! Deadline for Submissions is March 3rd, 2024.

Michael Behlen
Michael Behlen is a photography enthusiast from Fresno, CA. He works in finance and spends his free time shooting instant film and seeing live music, usually a combination of the two. He has self- published two Polaroid photobooks--“Searching for Stillness, Vol. 1” and “I Was a Pioneer,” literally a boxed set of his instant film work. He exhibited a variety of his photos at Raizana Teas, a Fresno tea room and health food store; his work there, “Polaroid Prints of Landscapes and Strangers,” was up for viewing during the months of June and July, 2014. He has been published, been interviewed, and been reviewed in a quantity of magazines, from” F-Stop” and “ToneLit” to “The Film Shooter’s Collective.” He loves the magic sensuality of instant film: its saturated, surreal colors; the unpredictability of the medium; it’s addictive qualities as you watch it develop. Behlen is the founder and Publisher of “Pryme Magazine.” You can see his work here: www.dontshakeitlikeapolaroid.com
