About Rudi Amedeus Blondia:
Rudi Amedeus Blondia is a fine art photographer from Belgium, now living in Fremont, CA, whose recent focus has been on artistic nudes and portraits using expired large format Polaroid films. Blondia takes his images, using darkroom processes to craft and mold the images, until he relives the feeling and emotions of the shoot itself. His style is minimalistic, creating space between his subjects and the background, easing the viewer into the story of his picture. His work, saturated with emotion and wonder, documents each subject's beauty, complexity, uniqueness, and intimacy. His series of 8x10 Polaroid portraits explores a fascination with how faces are presented and how emotions are conveyed, especially in the often complex relationship of model and photographer, shifting through feelings, reflections, projections, and illuminations of heart and soul.
